As I spend more time with these kids and teenagers who are so called “troubled”, I am realizing that the “trouble” is more so from their internal struggle with the environment they come from and having to deal with school and all the different complexities that come with that. They get labeled and put into a box that many never see past…
I have chosen to see past all of that and because of it, I have found some of the most talented people I have ever been around. Saying things, rappin’ about life, pointing out things that I have made me re-think some of my own point of views. Absolutely amazing. B.1, N. and D-man are all on point and I have full faith that as we continue this process of finding our voices, expressing ourselves and finding outlets for our thoughts, feelings and views, that we all will have no choice but to change for the better.
