Dear Dad (W. 7th Poet)
Dear Dad,
I wish we could have one more memory
I wish you could jump right into me
Those days you told me you will never leave me
You said you will always be company and be here for me
I was sad when they told me those guys took you from me
Now I’m very lonely
Now you’re just in my dreams
Like a girl wishing for a pony.

Your dad is with you in your hopes, in your dreams, in the love you hold in your heart and share with your world. Keep writing, you are beautiful and have so much to give! The beauty in you is a testimate to the man you grieve. Perhaps our greatest loss is what teaches us to be present for those we love. It is with deep gratitude that I learn life’s lessons with you. Thank you for sharing this poem. You are brave.
